Whale Shark

The whale shark originated about 69 million years ago. It was first discovered in April 1828, only later coming to be known as the Whale Shark. Its 12.65 meter length and 21.5 tons weight makes it one of the largest sharks. It Can be found in different warm oceans including the Bay Islands in Honduras, Thailand, The Philippines, The Maldives, Red Sea, Western Australia (Ningaloo Reef, Christmas Island), Belize, Tofo Beach in Mozambique, Sodwana Bay (Greater St. Lucia Wetland Park) in South Africa, at the Galapagos Islands, off Isla Mujeres in Mexico, Seychelles, West Malaysia, Sri Lanka, and in Puerto Rico. Whale shark can live up to 70 years.

2nd largest shark after Whale Shark, it is found almost in all oceans. Its recorded measurements are 12.27 meter length and 19 tons weight. Basking Shark eats filter feeder, zooplankton, invertebrates and small fish

Great White Shark

Six meter in length, 2,240 kilograms in weight makes is 3rd largest shark in the world. Mostly found in all major oceans where temperature is in range between 12 °C and 24 °C. It has also been seen on costs of Australia, South Africa, California, Mexico, Mauritius, Madagascar, Kenya, the Seychelles, Massachusetts, Hawaii and Caribbean. Great white shark eats dolphins, porpoises, whale, pinnipeds, seals, fur seals and sea lions and sometimes sea turtles, sea otters and penguins

Average tiger shark’s is 4.20 meter large and its weight is up to 635 kilogram. Tiger shark hunts at night and eats everything including fish, seals, birds, smaller sharks, squid, turtles, and dolphins. Tiger shark is found near costal line especially in Pacific Ocean, north of Japan, south of New Zealand
